利用 VERITAS 对缺失环节双星脉冲星 J1023+0038 进行的甚高能伽马射线搜寻

双星毫秒射电脉冲星 PSR J1023+0038 表现出许多与伽马射线双星系统 PSR B1259--63/LS 2883 相似的特征,使其成为研究高能非热辐射的理想候选者。在 2013 年 6 月脉冲射电辐射消失后,针对该脉冲星开展了多波段观测活动,揭示了中子星周围吸积盘的出现。我们展示了 VERITAS 在这一状态改变前后进行的甚高能伽马射线观测结果。对两个数据集中稳态和脉冲辐射的搜寻均未发现高于 100 GeV 的显著伽马射线信号,并给出了稳态和脉冲伽马射线通量的上限。这些上限被用来约束 PSR J1023+0038 系统激波区域的磁场强度。假设甚高能伽马射线是通过激波区域中的逆康普顿机制产生的,我们将射电脉冲星消失前的激波磁场约束为大于约 2 G,消失后约束为大于约 10 G。
