碳主导大气白矮星的进展报告

摘要
最近，Dufour等人（2007）报告了一个意外的发现：在斯隆数字巡天中发现的一些白矮星的大气以碳为主，几乎没有或完全没有氢和氦的痕迹。在此，我们基于在亚利桑那州霍普金斯山的6.5米MMT望远镜上获得的新高信噪比后续光谱观测，对这些新天体进行了进展报告。
