摘要
考虑一种介于岩石陆地行星与气态巨行星之间的新型行星族：“海洋行星”。我们提出这些假设行星的形成、成分及内部模型，包括其海洋成分，以及其可能的生物学兴趣。这些行星应可被诸如 Eddington 与 Kepler 任务探测，亦可能被 COROT (计划于 2006 年发射) 探测。它们将是光谱任务如 Darwin/TPF 的理想目标。
