中子星并合的多信使分析

摘要

两颗中子星的并合是一个极其复杂的过程。为了厘清其发生的各个阶段,必须考察我们能够探测到的所有信号:引力波与电磁波,其频谱范围极广,从X射线和γ\gamma射线一直延伸到红外与射电波段。这些信号各自传递着一则讯息,而信息的整体不仅将使我们理解并合过程,还能揭示物质在极端条件下的行为。
