基于混合探测器的宇宙射线组成测量(10^17 eV至10^18 eV)

摘要

研究了能量在 101710^{17}eV 至 101810^{18}eV 范围内的宇宙射线平均质量组成。本研究采用由 High Resolution Fly's Eye (HiRes) 原型装置和 MIA muon阵列组成的混合探测器。对测量的 shower最大深度 XmaxX_{max} 以及固定核心位置处的 muon密度 ρμ(600m)\rho_\mu(600m) 随能量变化的特征进行了观测。同时以 XmaxX_{max}ρμ(600m)\rho_\mu(600m) 的组合方式评估了射线组成。结果显示,随着能量增加,射线组成从重元素向轻元素混合物的比例发生变化。
