我们报告了在 Keck 8 米望远镜上使用 HIRES 对金属贫弱恒星系进行的光谱搜索结果。我们在 1.5 年的时间跨度内实现了约 8 m/s 的径向速度精度。迄今为止收集的数据趋势表明，极短周期（<1 个月）巨型行星的缺失。然而，约 7% 的星体表现出提示存在伴星的速度趋势。我们对可检测伴星质量随轨道周期的初步上限进行了置信，并与 ESA 未来太空高精度测距观测仪器 Gaia 的性能进行了比较。
