摘要

我们描述了一种紧凑型超洁净装置,用于沿 KamLAND 液闪中微子探测器的垂直轴部署放射源以进行校准。该装置通过收放精确长度的悬挂细钢丝绳(缆绳)来工作;各种可互换的放射源可连接到缆绳末端的重物上。所有暴露于放射纯液闪的部件均由化学相容的超高真空(UHV)清洗材料制成,主要是不锈钢,以避免污染或降解闪烁体。为防止氡侵入,该装置被封装在手套箱内的气密外壳中,并且这两个空间均定期用纯化氮气冲洗。安装在外壳侧面的红外摄像头允许对缆绳运动进行实时视觉监控,系统通过图形用户界面进行控制。
