3G R&D:下一代地基引力波探测器的研发

摘要

为实现下一代引力波天文台的愿景,需要一项持续且协调的探测器研发计划。本报告详细考察了与《下一代全球引力波天文台:科学之书》中提出的关键科学目标相称的下一代引力波探测器所需的近期与长期探测器研发计划,包括台址选择与大规模真空基础设施的考量。报告就探测器技术所需的进展及实现这些进展的时间尺度提出了一系列详细建议。它还指出了更大规模全球协调研发工作对于确保成功同时最小化成本至关重要的领域。本报告是 GWIC 3G 小组委员会六部分系列报告中的第三篇:i) 将引力波天文台的探测范围扩展至宇宙边缘,ii) 下一代全球引力波天文台:科学之书,iii) 3G R&D:下一代地基引力波探测器的研发(本报告),iv) 引力波数据分析:3G 时代的计算挑战,v) 未来地基引力波天文台:与其他科学界的协同,vi) 未来全球引力波天文台网络可能的治理模式探索。
