133In:r-过程核衰变的罗塞塔石碑

摘要

在ISOLDE衰变站(IDS)研究了133^{133}In的基态与长寿命同核异构体的β\beta衰变。借助对β\betaγ\gamma和中子能谱敏感的混合探测系统,首次测量了它们所有主导β\beta衰变分支的比较偏半衰期(logft),包括一个低能Gamow-Teller跃迁和若干一级禁戒(FF)跃迁。对于如此重的富中子核而言独特的是,它们的β\beta衰变仅选择性地布居133^{133}Sn中少数孤立的中子非束缚态。对这些共振的能量和分支比的精确测量使我们能在该核素图区域以空前水平基准检验β\beta衰变理论。结果显示与新开发的大尺度壳模型(LSSM)计算吻合良好。实验发现确立了132^{132}Sn东南方向富中子核β\beta衰变的原型,并将作为未来旨在准确描述快中子俘获(r-)过程中关键β\beta衰变的理论发展的指导。
