Saturation Numbers for Linear Forests $P_6$ + $tP_2$

Combinatorics 2021-10-19 v2

Abstract

A graph GG is HH-saturated if it contains no HH as a subgraph, but does contain HH after the addition of any edge in the complement of GG. The saturation number, sat(n,H)sat (n, H), is the minimum number of edges of a graph in the set of all HH-saturated graphs with order nn. In this paper, we determine the saturation number sat(n,P6+tP2)sat (n, P_6 + tP_2) for n10t/3+10n \geq 10t/3 + 10 and characterize the extremal graphs for n>10t/3+20n >10t/3 + 20.
