On perfect powers that are sums of two Fibonacci numbers

Abstract

We study the equation Fn+Fm=ypF_n + F_m = y^p, where FnF_n and FmF_m are respectively the nn-th and mm-th Fibonacci numbers and p2p \ge 2. We find all solutions under the assumption nm(mod2)n \equiv m \pmod{2}.
