Summary talk at the VIIIth International Workshop on Multiparticle Production "Correlations and Fluctuations '98" held at Matrahaza, Hungary, from 14th till 21st of June 1998.

The recent results on hadron multiplicities in heavy and light quark fragmentation, multiplicity local fluctuations and multiparticle correlations submitted to the Conference are reviewed.

New results on particle correlations and event-by-event fluctuations presented at Quark Matter 2004 are reviewed.
