YMCA-1：银河系的一个新遥远星团？

我们报告了可能发现的一个新恒星系统（YMCA-1），它是在 YMCA 测光数据中小尺度过密区的搜索中被识别出来的。该天体的投影位置位于大麦哲伦云的外围，距其中心约 。对其颜色-星等图及其积分性质的最可能解释是，YMCA-1 可能是银河系的一个古老而遥远的星团，距离银心 100 kpc。若此情形得以确认，则该星团将比大多数位于银河系晕极外缘的已知星团显著更暗且更致密，但与 Laevens~3 颇为相似。然而，要确切确定该星团的实际性质及系统距离，还需更深的测光观测。
