含造父变星 S Mus 星团的 X 射线探测

银河系造父变星 S Muscae 最近被加入到了与疏散星团相关联的重要造父变星列表中，此处对应的星团为稀疏的年轻星团 ASCC 69。年轻星团的低质量成员预计具有快速自转和 X 射线活动，使得 X 射线发射成为区分它们与年老场星的绝佳方法。我们进行了以 S Mus 为中心的 XMM-Newton 观测，并识别出（表 1）一群 X 射线源，其近红外 2MASS 对应体在 J, (J-K) 颜色 - 星等图中的位置与 S Mus 距离处的星团成员身份一致。它们的中值能量和 X 射线光度与年轻星团成员一致，区别于场星。这些结果加强了 S Mus 与该年轻星团的关联，使其成为潜在的 Leavitt 定律（周光关系）校准器。
