世界体上的虫洞

摘要
我描述了一些近期工作，其中 Dirac-Born-Infeld 理论的经典解可用于阐明 M 理论的一些性质。Born-Infeld 理论的源是终结于世界体上的弦的端点。等价地，基本弦可被视为仅仅是世界体的一片薄而延展的部分。
