摘要
分析了巨型恒星（中子星和黑洞）残余体的观察质量分布及其与类型II和Ib/c超新星包层抛射机制的可能关系。得出结论，只有当超新星的磁动力学机制具有足够长的时间进行场放大，并且中子星的软方程状态（限制质量约为1.5-1.6M_odot）时，才能获得这种分布。讨论了该假设的若干后果。
