本注记试图解释关于低 [alpha/Fe] 薄盘恒星平均方位速度随金属丰度增加而呈下降趋势的一些近期发现。Schoenrich & Binney (2009) 的模型曾预言存在这种趋势，尽管斜率略陡。我们表明，在一个简单的图像中，没有角动量混合的星系盘将表现出极其陡峭的趋势，而在所有恒星完全混合的情况下，该趋势必然消失。因此，模型与观测数据之间的差异可以解释为模型中的径向丰度梯度过高，从而导致对迁移强度的低估。我们简要讨论了偏心率分布在约束星系盘结构与历史方面的价值。
