通过对极高能和超高能宇宙射线研究领域的简短导览，简要回顾了当前所关注的问题，特别是由 KASCADE 实验和 Pierre Auger 项目所处理的这些问题。介绍了 KASCADE 对宇宙射线光谱中“肩部”区域的现有调查状态，并讨论了开放性问题。
