从生到死称量恒星:跨越 HR 图的恒星质量测定方法

摘要
恒星的质量是其结构、演化与最终归宿最基本的参数,对任何恒星考古与系外行星表征都尤为重要。天文学中存在多种估计或确定质量的方法。本综述给出大量此类方法,始于最直接且独立于模型的方法——利用分离食双星;继而转向更间接且依赖模型的方法,如常用的等龄线或恒星迹线拟合。定量星震学的出现开辟了确定恒星质量并补充和提高其他方法精度的全新途径。我们涵盖从主序前到演化(超)巨星及最终遗迹等不同演化阶段的方法,并讨论所有方法的不确定性与限制。我们提供了共计 200 余颗基准恒星的列表,其所覆盖质量范围 的相对质量精度在 之间,其中 为核内燃烧氢的恒星,其余 涵盖所有其他演化阶段。最后我们给出如何组合多种方法以建立恒星“质量阶梯”的建议。
