赫歇尔/HIFI测定的81P/Wild 2彗星的水产率

赫歇尔/HIFI的高光谱分辨率和灵敏度使得能够探测彗星中的多条水转动谱线并精确测定水产率。在本快报中,我们介绍了2010年2月获取的81P/Wild 2彗星中水的基态110-101 (557 GHz) 正水和111-000 (1113 GHz) 仲水转动跃迁的HIFI观测结果。我们通过五点扫描绘制了水线发射的延伸范围。使用激发模型计算了谱线轮廓,该模型包括与电子和中性粒子的碰撞激发以及太阳红外辐射。我们推导出在近日点前约20天、日心距1.61 AU处的平均水产率为 分子/秒,这与利用18厘米OH线观测从地面测得的产率一致。此外,我们约束了电子密度分布和气体动力学温度,并通过拟合水线形状估算了彗发膨胀速度。
