我们报告了WASP-43b的发现，这是一颗每0.81天凌日一次K7V恒星的热木星。该宿主恒星质量为0.6倍太阳质量，是所有拥有热木星的宿主恒星中质量最低的。它还表现出15.6天的自转周期。该行星质量为1.8倍木星质量，半径为0.9倍木星半径，半长轴仅为0.014 AU，具有已知热木星中最小的轨道距离。在K7V恒星周围发现这样一颗行星表明，由于轨道潮汐衰减而明显剩余寿命较短的行星，同样可以在具有深层对流区的恒星周围被发现。
