摘要
作为一个群体，我们的目标是理解能量、物质、空间和时间的根本性质，并应用该知识理解宇宙的诞生、演化和命运。我们的范围广泛并使用许多工具：加速器、非加速器和宇宙学观测，所有这些都起着关键作用。我们在实现目标方面取得的进展、我们需要进一步推进的工具、我们实现变革性范式改变科学进展的机会：重大发现，以及作为一个统一全球领域对于实现我们目标的重要性，是本次演讲的主题。
