白矮星与中子星的黏性耗散效应

摘要
当一个差分旋转的磁性星体发生“翻转”(即其磁场对称轴相对不变角动量轴逐渐倾斜至垂直位置,称为“垂直转子”情形)时,轴向磁场通过海森球流体 Alfven 波沿轴向磁场线进行角动量交换,导致垂直转子获得均匀旋转。这种耗散机制由所谓的“翻转黏性” (turn-over viscosity) 表示。我们为多个白矮星和中子星模型计算由于翻转黏性引起的能量耗散;还将其与由电子、离子及湍流黏性引起的相应耗散效应进行比较。
