极贫金属经典造父变星：IZw18 中的变星

在一个正在进行的 ACS@HST 项目（HST 计划 #10586，PI: Aloisi）框架下，我们获得了极贫金属蓝致密矮星系 IZw18 的深度多色成像。数据以时间序列方式获取，以便识别经典造父变星（CC）。该项目的主要目标是约束该星系的距离和恒星形成历史。然而，作为副产品，这些数据也为极低金属丰度下 CC 的性质提供了新的见解。我们在 IZw18 中识别出 24 个候选 CC。我们专门针对这个原始星系的低金属丰度（Z=0.0004, Y=0.24）计算了新的 CC 理论脉动模型，以解释我们的结果。
