利用VLT上的FORS2研究遥远星系的视向速度场

摘要
我们描述了一种利用VLT上的FORS2高效获取遥远、暗弱且小尺寸发射线星系的二维视向速度场的方法。对这些速度场进行运动学子结构检查，以识别可能的相互作用过程。潮汐相互作用和冲压效应的数值模拟揭示了可用我们的方法观测到的独特特征。我们在场环境和星团环境中都检测到相当大比例的星系具有不规则的速度场。
