一般性论证以及对夸克-胶子等离子体中介质内夸克传播子的不同近似，都导致夸克色散关系在一个分支（plasmino）中表现出最小值。这一最小值在双轻子产生率和介子关联函数中引起范霍夫奇点，这可能具有可观测的后果。
