星系团样本中选取函数、样本污染与质量定标的验证

摘要

我们构建并验证了MARD-Y3样本的选取函数。该样本是通过用暗能量巡天第三年(DES-Y3)数据对第二版ROSAT暗弱源表(2RXS)进行光学跟踪而选取的。选取函数通过将经验构造的X射线选取函数与光学跟踪的不完备性模型相结合来建模。我们通过检验由不同质量信息来源导出的X射线流量—质量与 richness—质量标度关系参数约束的一致性来验证联合选取函数:(1)使用SPT-SZ星系团的交叉定标,(2)在边际化宇宙学参数的同时,使用X射线、光学以及X射线与光学联合的数目计数进行定标,以及(3)其他已发表的分析。我们发现,来自数目计数与SPT-SZ交叉定标的标度关系约束相互一致,表明我们对选取函数的建模是充分的。此外,我们应用一种很大程度上独立于宇宙学的方法来验证选取函数,即计算SPT-SZ样本中的每个星系团属于MARD-Y3样本的概率,反之亦然。该检验未揭示出MARD-Y3污染、SPT-SZ不完备性或离群分数方面的明确证据。最后,我们讨论了本文所呈现的技术在限制未来星系团宇宙学研究中系统性选取效应方面的前景。
