利用 $\mu$ 子环对切伦科夫望远镜阵列 SST-1M 原型的光学吞吐量进行校准

摘要

成像大气切伦科夫望远镜(IACTs)是地面仪器,致力于研究来自空间的极高能 gamma 射线。探测技术包括观测由 gamma 射线或更一般地宇宙射线穿过大气层时发射的切伦科夫光所生成的图像。在质子或 gamma 射线的情况下,图像呈现为实心的且多少有些拉长的形状,而穿透大气层的高能 μ\mu 子则被可视化为特征性的圆环或弧。对环图像进行相对简单的分析即可重建探测到的 μ\mu 子的所有相关参数,如能量、碰撞参数和入射方向,最终目的是利用它们来校准给定 IACT 望远镜的总光学吞吐量。我们展示了关于将 μ\mu 子生成的图像作为拟用于切伦科夫望远镜阵列的单镜小尺寸望远镜原型 SST-1M 光学吞吐量校准器的初步研究结果。
