UNCOVER:z=8.50宽线AGN的NIRSpec证认

摘要

JWST的深场观测揭示了一类新兴的红色点状源族群,可能提供假想的超大质量黑洞种子与观测到的类星体之间的联系。在本工作中,我们展示了来自JWST第一轮UNCOVER Treasury巡天的JWST/NIRSpec光谱,对象为z=8.50z=8.50处一个吸积中的大质量黑洞,其Hβ\beta线显示明确的宽线成分,FWHM = 3439±4133439\pm413 km s1^{-1},典型属于活动星系核(AGN)的宽线区。该天体的AGN性质还得到高电离发射线及点源形貌的进一步支持。我们算出黑洞质量log10(MBH/M)=8.17±0.42_{10}(M_{\rm BH}/M_\odot)=8.17\pm0.42,及辐射光度Lbol6.6×1045L_{\rm bol}\sim6.6\times10^{45} erg s1^{-1}。这些值意味着该天体以爱丁顿极限约40%40\%的速率吸积。对光学与近红外光谱能量分布的细致建模,连同ALMA的约束,给出恒星质量上限log10(M/M)<8.7_{10}(M_{\rm *}/M_\odot)<8.7,这将导致黑洞与宿主质量比至少约30%30\%的前所未有的比值。这比本地类星体(QSOs)高数个量级,但与JWST近期高红移AGN研究一致。该发现表明,不可忽略比例的超大质量黑洞要么起始于大质量种子,要么在高红移以超爱丁顿速率增长。鉴于对高-zz暗弱AGN的数密度预测,未来更大样本的NIRSpec观测将使我们进一步研究早期宇宙中的星系–黑洞共演化。
