在过去十年中，大量观测证据表明，在邻近的活动星系核和更遥远的类星体中存在大质量、高速的风/外流（即超快外流，UFOs）。在此，我们简要回顾该领域的一些最新进展，并讨论UFOs对于理解活动星系核中吸积盘风的物理以及量化活动星系核反馈对周围介质的整体影响的相关性。
