UKIRT Fe$^+$宽场红外巡天

摘要

英国红外望远镜(UKIRT)Fe+^+宽场红外巡天(UWIFE)是一项180平方度的成像巡天,覆盖第一银道象限(7° < l < 62°; |b| < 1.5°),使用以[Fe II] 1.644 μm发射线为中心的窄带滤光片。[Fe II] 1.644 μm发射是致密激波激发气体的良好示踪物,该巡天将探测恒星周围的剧烈环境:恒星形成区、演化恒星和超新星遗迹等。UWIFE巡天旨在补充现有的UKIRT H2宽场红外巡天(UWISH2; Froebrich et al. 2011)。该巡天还将补充现有的宽带巡天。观测图像对点源的名义5σ探测极限为18.7星等,中值视宁度为0.83角秒。对于延展源,我们估计面亮度极限为8.1 × 1020^{-20} W m2^{-2} arcsec2^{-2}。本文介绍了该巡天的概述和初步结果。
