Type Ia 超新星与残余中子星

摘要
基于当前的观测证据，我们提出了两个 CO 型白矢星合并会产生一次 Type Ia 超新星爆炸以及一颗星际残余——后者以 magnetar 形式出现。估算的发生率使我们有信心，如果不是大多数 SNe Ia 都是由白矢星合并引发的话，那么至少有很多可能是这样。
