英国天文学院星际行星搜索的两颗外星行星

摘要
我们报告发现了两颗来自英国天文学院星际行星搜索的新型外星行星，分别围绕HD142和HD23079这两颗恒星。围绕HD142的行星轨道周期仅为一年左右，而围绕HD23079的行星轨道周期为两年左右。HD142属于"偏心"气体巨星类，而HD23079位于"epsilon Ret类"行星——即轨道径向外、接近圆形轨道的外星气体巨星行星类中。这一类别的成员数量日益增加，为将现有行星搜索延伸至更长的观测周期，以寻找类似木星在木星轨道中的行星提供了新的动力。
