1935至1936年间，Einstein在普林斯顿致力于统一场论，并与助手 Nathan Rosen 合作研究 Einstein-Rosen 桥理论，同时他专注于 Schwarzschild 解及其内部的奇点。他亦潜心于量子理论研究，认为量子理论是对真实事物的不完备描述。他与 Rosen 和 Boris Podolsky 共同提出了 EPR 悖论。本文证明，广义相对论中的二体问题是 Einstein 及合作者在1935年关于 Einstein-Rosen 桥和 EPR 悖论研究中的启发式指南。
