大金星云 T Tauri 星: 结合 HST 与 VLT 的观测

摘要
将 WFPC2 aboard HST 所能实现的前所未有的空间分辨率与 VLT 的大口径收集面相结合，使得有能力对除我们的星系外的星系中质量较低的原星核星体进行细致研究。本文报告我们对我们最近的星系邻居——大金星云中两个星际形成环境的研究结果：位于超新星 1987A 附近的区域以及双星团 NGC 1850。
