我们考虑一种可以部分衰变为中子子、光子、质子或冷暗物质的拓扑缺陷网络。我们发现，当考虑此类衰变时，宇宙微波背景（CMB）各向异性的尺度程幅度以及物质功谱的形状都可能发生显著修改。我们得出结论，关于通过缺陷形成结构的当前预测可能不可靠。
