核$\beta$衰变的断层$\beta$-$\gamma$光谱

摘要

β\beta衰变作为核结构和弱相互作用的灵敏探针,正因最新进展的光谱技术而成为标准模型之外物理的精密测试基地。本文介绍了核β\beta-γ\gamma断层光谱(TBGS)技术,这是一种检测β\betaγ\gamma以及内部转化电子能量的同时重建能量沉积顶点的技术。使用作为TBGS的PandaX-4T探测器,我们获得了对 214^{214}Pb 的精确且无偏的衰变方案,后者是深空探测和马约拉纳中子反演搜索中的关键背景同位素。首次同时测量了 214^{214}Pb 到 214^{214}Bi 的基态和激发态的衰变,揭示了相对于先前评估的分支比率差异可达 4.7σ4.7\sigma。结合最先进的理论光谱形状计算,这些结果为稀有事件搜索中的背景建模树立了新基准,并凸显了TBGS作为基本物理和核应用的多功能工具的潜力。
