来自GRB 160821A的时变偏振伽马射线:有序磁场的证据

摘要

GRB 160821A是{\it Fermi}伽马射线空间望远镜观测到的第三大能量伽马射线暴。基于{\it AstroSat}上镉锌碲成像仪(CZTI)的观测,我们在此报告迄今最确凿的证据,表明(i)高线偏振(6627+26%66^{+26}_{-27} \%; 5.3σ5.3 \sigma探测),以及(ii)其偏振角在暴的上升和衰减阶段分别发生两次随时间变化,探测显著性为3.5σ3.5 \sigma3.1σ3.1 \sigma。所有置信水平均针对两个感兴趣参数给出。这些观测强烈暗示由高度有序、角尺度为1/Γ1/\Gamma的磁场线中产生的同步辐射,其中Γ\Gamma为 outflow 的洛伦兹因子。
