时间分辨内壳层光电子能谱:从束缚分子到孤立原子

摘要

因其元素与位点特异性,内壳层光电子能谱是探测物质化学结构被广泛使用的技术。本文表明时间分辨内壳层光电子能谱可用于以高灵敏度观测超快化学反应及电子对核运动的响应。利用时间分辨内壳层光电子与光离子能谱,通过碘甲烷(CH3_3I)在碘4d边以上的电离研究其紫外解离。光电子谱中观测到的动力学早于且快于碘碎片中所见者。实验结果借助晶体场与自旋-轨道组态相互作用计算予以解释,并证明时间分辨内壳层光电子能谱是直接追踪气相分子中超快结构与电子转变的有力工具。
