我们讨论了时间演化光离化作为测量光离化气体电子密度的诊断工具的潜力。我们将其应用于对 NGC 4051 这颾银河系星系中被 ionized 吸收器的 XMM-Newton 观测，并首次测量了其体积密度、其距中心致发射源的距离，以及其质量外流速率。通过将这些测量值外推至高亮度、大质量的黑洞的类鲱鱼现象，我们推测 AGN 风在 AGN-宿主galaxy 和 AGN-IGM 反馈过程中可能发挥重要作用。
