外晕球状星团 Eridanus 和 Palomar 15 周围的潮汐尾

我们报道基于 CTIO 4米 Blanco 望远镜上 DECam 获取的 波段图像，在两个外晕球状星团 Eridanus 和 Palomar 15 周围发现潮汐尾。这些潮汐尾是目前已知的银河系晕中最遥远的恒星流之一。团成员已从颜色-星等图确定，并用于建立径向密度轮廓，两者均显示在外区强烈偏离最佳拟合 King 轮廓。空间密度图揭示出在两个星团相反两侧伸出的潮汐尾，Eridanus 延伸长度约 760 pc，Palomar 15 约 1160 pc。由 Palomar 15 潮汐尾投影的大圆包围银河系中心，而 Eridanus 的大圆经过四个矮卫星星系附近，其中之一（Sculptor）与 Eridanus 距离相当。
