外部星系周围的潮汐流

我们有独特的机会详细观测和模拟本星系群两个大旋涡星系——银河系和M31——周围的近邻流。然而,检测其他外部星系周围的流对于验证所得结果的普遍适用性是必需的。我们简要总结了文献中已知的其他星系周围的流,并首次使用现代CCD成像测量了Malin的M83流的表面亮度。此外,我们展示了四个新探测到的盘状星系周围可能的恒星流。
