摘要
推导了星系团和星系团中星系合并与潮汐相互作用的质量与径向依赖率的解析估计，考虑了系统潮汐势对星系尺寸的限制。只有高质量星系在被更大质量星系吞噬之前才会发生显著的主要合并。来自星系团/星系团潮汐势的强潮汐严重限制了中心区域的合并/潮汐横截面积，而尽管潮汐在外缘最为高效，但在富集群的内部仍可见到合并碰撞。
