Zwicky暂现源设施亮暂现源巡天。II. 用于探索超新星人口统计的公开统计样本

摘要

我们呈现来自Zwicky暂现源设施(ZTF)亮暂现源巡天(BTS)的暂现源公开星表,这是一个在ZTF公开流中对河外暂现源进行的极限星等巡天(在g或r滤光片下m<19 mag)。我们引入关于巡天覆盖、峰值光附近天空可见性以及其他与暂现源性质无关的切割,并展示所得统计样本在<18 mag处光谱完备度为97%,在<18.5 mag处为93%,在<19 mag处为75%。我们总结了该种群的基本属性,在各种超新星(SN)类型中识别出明显的持续时间-光度关联,并将大多数快光学暂现源与公认的光谱SN类型(主要为SN Ibn和II/IIb)相关联。我们测量了Ia型SN和核坍缩(CC)SN的速率和光度函数,其与近期工作表现出良好一致性。约7%的CC SN在极低光度星系(M_i > -16 mag)中爆发,10%在红序星系中,1%在大质量椭圆星系中。我们发现II型和Ib/c型超新星宿主星系的光度或颜色分布无显著差异,表明线驱动星风剥离在其前身星氢包层损失中不起主要作用。未来利用ZTF和其他广域巡天的大规模分类工作将提供所有已知类型光学暂现源的速率、性质和环境的优质测量,并对理论预言但迄今未观测到的爆发之存在给出限制。
