基于GLIMPSE数据测定1.25至8.0微米范围内星际消光的波长依赖性

摘要

我们确定并列出在银河平原上,波长范围为1.25μm<λ<8.0μm的星际消光A(λ)/A(K) along两条视线:l~42和l~284。前者是一个相对平静且无特别标志的区域;后者包含巨型HII区RCW 49以及与簇和星云无关的“场”区域。这些银河赤道附近的区域被2MASS在J、H、K波段成像,并被斯普特伦在3-8μm波段成像,以完成GLIMPSE遗产计划。我们直接从观测星体的颜色分布中测量颜色剩余比值(A(λ)-A(K))/(A(J)-A(K)的平均值。需要两种滤光器之间的消光比(例如A(J)/A(K))才能计算A(λ)/A(K)。我们使用沿两个视线的巨型星体的 apparent JHK magnitudes,并拟合随magnitude(距离)变化的消光,以确定A(J)/kpc、A(K)/kpc和A(J)/A(K)。我们得到的A(λ)/A(K)值显示在3-8μm波长范围内呈现平坦,大致符合Lutz 1996关于指向银河中心的视线消光测量结果。
