回顾了对 SN 1987A 十年光度观测的结果。光学和近红外颜色现在以每 1000 天不到 1 幅度的速度下降，这与红外“冻结”以及可能驱动 nebular 能源相吻合。十年时的“uvoir” 总光度估计为 log10(L) 36.1-36.4 ergs/s。最新的光度测量结果列于表 1 中。一条深色的颜色-亮度图显示，年轻恒星在距离 Supernova 项目距离 25 英寸 (6 pc) 内集中，覆盖范围达到 3 分弧分 from the Supernova。 likely 的是位于 Supernova 投影距离 0.7 pc 以内的星 2 和星 3 与 Sk -69 202 相关联。
