我们将展示几颗处于不同演化阶段但具有相似初始质量的大质量恒星的研究结果：属于 Cyg OB2 星协的 O 型超巨星、独特的 LBV/post-LBV——罗马诺星，以及两颗沃尔夫-拉叶星——WR156 和 FSZ35。所有这些恒星的初始质量均约为 50 Msun。这使我们能够将它们视为处于生命不同时刻的单颗恒星，并提供了追踪大质量恒星生命周期内物理参数（如有效温度、光度、质量损失率、星风速度）和化学丰度变化的机会。这对于检验此类天体当前的演化理论非常重要。
