武仙座矮星系的拉伸

摘要
我们展示了利用 VLT/FORS2 对武仙座超暗矮星系附近候选蓝水平支 (BHB) 恒星进行的光谱观测结果。我们确认了八颗确凿的武仙座 BHB 成员星，以及另外五颗具有与武仙座相似系统速度、但沿其长轴方向距离星系中心约 0.5 kpc 的恒星。这些恒星很可能曾经属于武仙座，但已被潮汐剥离，目前处于非束缚状态。我们强调，寻找该拉伸系统的系统速度梯度非常有用，这将进一步支持我们对其 elongated 和 distended 形态起源的解释。
