狭长星系矮星系的恒星内容

摘要
我们对狭长星系矮星系（Sgr）的三个场所进行V,I波段的深型CCD测 photometry。其中一个场所以星系矮星系NGC 6715（M54）为中心，后者位于Sgr星系的一个密集团块中。将Sgr的颜色-命令图（CMD）与被认为与该矮星系运动关联的星系团的CMD进行比较，我们得出结论：Sgr的恒星群体呈金属浓度的分布，且主导性恒星群体（约10 Gyr年龄）与其关联星系团Terzan 7的恒星内容极为相似。对Sgr的距离估计约为d=24.55 Kpc。
