摘要
星团是研究无法通过解析单颗恒星来观测的系统外恒星形成活动的理想示踪体。这些未解析的星团在亮度和质量上跨越多个数量级，其形成与宿主星系的整体恒星形成相关联。在此意义上，星团族群的年龄分布是宿主整体恒星形成历史的良好代理。本报告对七个致密星系群中的星团进行了比较研究，旨在利用星团年龄分布推断这些群的恒星形成历史，并将其与致密星系群提出的演化序列联系起来。
